The official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, www.mfa.gov.lk, received the Silver Award in the Best Government Website category at the BestWeb.LK 2026 Awards Ceremony, held on 12 August 2026 at Monarch Imperial.
This marked the first occasion on which the Ministry received national recognition at the BestWeb.LK Awards representing an important milestone in its digital transformation. The award recognized the progress made in strengthening the Ministry's digital presence and developing a more secure, accessible, reliable, and user-friendly online platform.
The Ministry remains committed to continuously improving its digital presence and completing the Common Website Platform Development Project by 31 August 2026, with the objective of bringing all Sri Lanka Mission and Post websites under a unified, efficient, accessible, and citizen-centred digital framework.
